Greetings Funeral Business Builders
A few months ago, we added preneed lead generation to our Facebook management service. The results have been excellent, and we’ve been able to provide clients with a steady stream of leads for their preneed salespeople.
We recently analyzed over 100 Facebook leads, revealing some critical patterns that can help funeral homes fine-tune their pre-need marketing strategy. Here are the most important observations from the data—and how to leverage them for better results.
Key Observations
Gender-Specific Timing Matters: Women respond most in the early morning hours, with a peak between 4 AM and 7 AM, while men engage more in the evening between 6 PM and 10 PM.
Saturday Night Engagement: Both men and women remain active on Saturday nights, with women showing the highest engagement up to 11 PM.
Tuesday and Thursday Perform Best: These days show the strongest engagement, particularly in the mid-morning hours, making them ideal for running new campaigns.
Friday Afternoon for Men: A noticeable spike in male engagement happens around 2 PM to 3 PM on Fridays.
Women Consistently Engage in Mornings: Women’s activity is spread across several mornings throughout the week, indicating that preneed campaigns should target them early in the day.
Recommended Facebook Ad Strategy
Based on these insights, here’s a campaign plan designed to maximize preneed lead generation:
Targeted Ads by Gender and Time:
– Morning Campaigns (4 AM – 9 AM): Use compassionate messaging aimed at women, focusing on peace of mind through preplanning.
– Evening Cmpaigns (6 PM – 10 PM): Run ads directed at men, emphasizing financial planning and security.
Optimize for Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday Nights:
– Launch weekend ads on Saturday nights, when engagement is highest across all demographics. Midweek campaigns should go live early on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Use Specific Ad Creatives:
– Incorporate imagery of families and financial security to resonate with both genders.
By aligning your campaign with these patterns, you’ll increase the chances of connecting with your audience and generating more meaningful preneed leads.
